Carol Snell, Chairman of the Board Co-founder, Aspect Communications Carol Snell's career highlights include co-founder of Aspect Communications, CEO of two early-stage startups, executive of a global communications company, and board chairman for venture-backed startups. She co-founded Aspect Communications in 1985, a leading provider of call distribution systems and services. She also managed Aspect's entry into international markets as SVP and Managing Director. Later, Carol spent two years as SVP at Lucent, Octel Messaging Division. She was also CEO of two early-stage contact management software companies. Carol currently serves on the board of directors at Cignex and Siperian. Carol holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of North Carolina and an Executive MBA from Stanford University.
John Gengarella, Voxify President & CEO John Gengarella brings over 20 years of entrepreneurial executive management experience to Voxify including his most recent role as VP of Operation for Oracle's CRM Applications Divsion, a $1B business unit. He previously led Siebel Systems' Travel, Transportation and Hospitality business unit prior to the Oracle/Siebel acquisition. Prior to Siebel Gengarella was CEO of several technology organizations, including Pineapple Systems, a CRM software company targeting the hospitality industry, and MyBiz Technologies, a hosted CRM solution serving the online auction market. He served as a strategy consultant at Deloitte Consulting, a mergers & acquisitions associate at Price-Waterhouse, and began his career as an engineer at Lockheed Missiles & Space Company. Gengarella earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and his Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
Patrick Nguyen, Voxify CTO, VP of Engineering & Founder Patrick Nguyen brings 15 years of experience in corporate strategy, engineering management, and software development to Voxify. Patrick served as VP of Engineering at Anubis, a data warehouse technology provider, until its acquisition. Patrick was previously Senior Director of Client Solutions for Personify, a provider of e-business analytics software. Patrick managed professional services and technology integration with application server, CRM, and data warehousing products. Previously, Patrick worked for McKinsey & Co., specializing in high-tech, electronics, and telco. Patrick began his software development career at Australia's Telstra Research Labs. Patrick received an MBA from MIT's Sloan School, and a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Melbourne.
Shanda Bahles, General Partner, El Dorado Ventures Before joining El Dorado Ventures in 1987, Shanda Bahles was a co-founder and/or early employee at Infotek, Millennium Systems, Magnuson Computer Systems, and Fortune Systems. She started her career as an engineer, building products, then moved into marketing to manage product launches. She received her B.S.E.E. and M.B.A. degrees from Stanford University. In 2002, she was named to the annual Forbes "Midas List," which recognizes "the elite 100 venture capitalists, angel investors, entrepreneurs, lawyers, bankers and recruiters who nurture and steer the tech economy."
Amanda Reed, Partner, Palomar Ventures Amanda Reed opened Palomar's Palo Alto office in 2001 after building a successful career as a senior executive in sales, marketing, and business development in early-stage start-up companies. Prior to joining Palomar, Amanda was SVP of Strategy and Development for LogicTier, an Internet operations services provider. Before joining LogicTier in 1999, Amanda was previously VP, Marketing & Business Development at Connect, Inc., an early pioneer in Internet based e-commerce software and services which had its IPO in 1996 and was later acquired by Calico Commerce. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Dartmouth College.
Bob Spinner, Managing Director, Sigma Partners Bob Spinner brings to Sigma Partners two decades of high technology business operational experience. Bob was President and CEO of Extensity. During his tenure, Extensity grew from $1 million to $25 million while raising money through private funding and an Initial Public Offering. In March of 2003, Extensity was sold to GEAC. Prior to Extensity, Bob was SVP of Worldwide Sales and International Operations at Clarify, a leading provider of integrated CRM solutions. During his tenure at Clarify, he grew the company from $5 million to $140 million in revenue while managing a worldwide organization of 260 professionals. Prior to Clarify, Bob served in expanding roles at Sybase including working as the director of one of Sybase's most successful regions. Bob received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
